What you may be experiencing...

If you say yes to more than 2 of these, then our groups were designed for you.

(The following list is not all inclusive. A multitude of emotions, behavioral and physical changes arise with trauma and grief.)

 

As a survivor you may experience periods of one or more of the following:

  • Numbness, feeling you lack reaction

  • Vulnerability, not sure who to trust

  • Anger and blame

  • Sleeplessness

  • Moodiness

  • Guilt

  • Helplessness

  • Nausea, loss of appetite

  • Withdrawal from others

  • Headaches

  • Anxiety and/or depression

  • Panic attacks

  • Irritability

There may be more physical, emotional or behavioral reactions. The important factor is to recognize the change in yourself and seek help to overcome what you are experiencing.

Thoughts you may be having...

  • I am so angry.

  • I am constantly worried.

  • I’ve lost interest in the things I use to enjoy.

  • It’s my fault we lost so much.

  • I hope these flashback stop sometime soon.

  • People are so untrustworthy.

Remember...

All of these are normal responses to an abnormal situation.  All these emotions are typical and Resilience will support you in processing them.
